The Bayonne Mermaids-Starfish Swim Team is a developmental swim program that services children from the very young age of 5 to 19. Our development process takes young children eager to learn the sport of swimming and turns them into fine adults with positive character traits such as commitment, perseverance, persistence, and pride.

Friday, August 29th
-REGISTRATION FOR THE WINTER SEASON WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 2nd BETWEEN 3:30-6:30 AT 16TH ST. POOL
-PRACTICE BEGIN SEPT 8TH FOR JUNIOR AND SENIOR GROUPS, THE REST OF THE GROUPS BEGIN PRACTICE SEPTEMBER 15TH.
-PLEASE REGISTER YOUR CHILD BEFORE THE BEGINING OF PRACTICE.

Due to a scheduling conflict, the team picnic will be rescheduled for Saturday, August 23rd.

Tuesday, July 29th
CONGRATULATIONS to all swimmers who competed this past weekend at the New Jersey
Junior Olympics. 14 BMS athletes competed and accumulated 44 new best times. Yasmeen Abdelhady, Zachary Hyman, Peter Jiminez, Ali Hassan qualified for Eastern Zones. Yasmeen Abdelhady finished 3rd overall in the 9-10 50 Backstroke for our teams best individual finish of the competition. Omar Hassan, Jack Long, Andrew William, and Zachary Hyman finished 4th overall in the 400 Medley Relay.

12 and under report to the pool at 1:45PM REGARDLESS of 1st or 2nd warm-up.

Congratulations to all swimmers who participated last weekend at the 12 and under silver bronze championships. There were many best times including 14 new Junior Olympic Cuts by Yasmeen Abdelhady, Michael Gadalla, Pavlo Kozak, Mark Hansen, and Ali Merdan.
