BMS SWIMMERS excel at Memorial Day and Heat Madness Swim Meets!!

Congratulations to BMS swimmers these past two
weekends on their new achievements. BMS
swimmers competed in two Long Course Meets the Memorial Day Weekend
Meet hosted by Berkeley Aquatic Club and the Heat Madness Meet
hosted by Scarlet Aquatic Club both held at the Sonny Werblin
Recreation Center at Rutgers University.
Amongst our competitors were
Shannon Neary, Danielle Prekop, Nouran Omer,
Ali Merdan, Brian Nalewajek, Dmitry Shlyapnikov, Alex Domanski,
Gabrielle Nalewajek, Pavlo Kozak, Mark Hansen, Igor Polujanski,
Yousef Abdelmotaal, Alex Sison, Maria Vira, Mohamed Nouser,
Valerjis Lebdeves, Jack Long, Zachary Hyman, Andrew William, Omar
Hassan, Omar Marzouk, Samar Marzouk, Marawan Salem, Neil Patel, Ali
Hassan, Peter Jimenez and Ahmed Omer.
We were well represented as Valerjis Lebdevs,
Mohamed Nouser, Zachary Hyman, Jack Long, Maria Vira, Alex Sison,
Omar Hassan, and Ali Hassan qualified for final heats at Memorial
Day Meet. Amongst the top high lights
were Valerijs Lebedevs setting the Meet Record and qualifying for
USA Swimming Sr. National Championships (Pan Pac Trials) in the 100
Breaststroke. Also winning the 100 Fly
in a junior nationals. Also Lebedevs
was the runner up in the 200 I.M being edged out by Andrew Gemmel
(University of Georgia –sophomore and Open Water World
Championship silver and bronze medalist)
Other Notable performance were accomplished by
Jack Long, Omar Hassan, Andrew William, Zachary Hyman, Ahmed Omer,
Alex Sison, Dmitry Shlyapnikov, and Brian Nalewajek as they all
swam to new Junior Olympic (gold standards) in at least one event!

we look forward to better performances in the coming meets!
